Requirements for Studying Law in Kenya

  1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE)

    You must complete your secondary education before you can study law in Kenya. Therefore, you must have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or an equivalent certificate. Additionally, you need to have at least a grade of C+ in your results. Secondly, you should have at least a grade B in English or Swahili.

  2. Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education(KACE)

    You must have a minimum of three principal passes in your certificate. Additionally, these subjects must be a minimum of Grade C. Secondly, you should have a minimum of B plain in the English Language.

  3. Have an Undergraduate Degree

    You need to have an undergraduate degree in a relevant field Additionally, you must have a minimum of C+ in your KCSE. Secondly, you must have a minimum of Grade B in the English Language.

  4. Diploma in Law

    You can gain admission with a diploma in law or a legal education. Additionally, this diploma must be accredited by the Council of Legal Education. Secondly, you must have at least a credit pass or higher.

  5. International Students

    If you are not a citizen of Kenya, your qualifications must be evaluated by the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KAQA). Additionally, you must have a valid study permit.
