1. West African Senior Certificate Examination(WASSCE)

   You must have a minimum of Grade C6 in your WASSCE certificate. You must have subjects such as English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science. Additionally, you must have subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.

2. Senior Secondary School Certificate(SSCE)

   You must have a minimum of Grade D in your SSCE. However, you should have higher grades to be able to gain admission. You must have subjects such as English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science. Additionally, you must have subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, etc.

3. General Certificate of Education Advanced Level

   You must have a Grade D in three subjects. They must include subjects such as English, Mathematics and Science subject. Additionally, you must have at least credits in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects.

4. Mature Applicants

   If you are 25 years and above, you will be categorized under mature applicants. Therefore, you must provide your birth certificate to show proof of your age. Additionally, you must have at least five credits in your O’level certificate. This must include subjects such as Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

5. Ministry of Health Certificates in Medical Laboratory Technology or Science

   If you have a certificate in Laboratory Technology, you must have an elective science background. You will undergo an interview. After that, you will be placed in the first year if you are successful. However, if you do have a science background, will go through an access course. This will include subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English Language and Integrated Science.

6. Diploma Certificate Holders

   You must have a diploma in a field related to Medical laboratory science. Additionally, this certificate must be from a recognised institution. Secondly, you must have a good grade on your certificate. You will be admitted into the 300 level if you meet the requirements.

7. HND Certificate Holders

   You must have an HND in a field related to Medical laboratory science. Additionally, this certificate must be from a recognised institution. However, you will be required to write an entrance examination. After passing this examination, you will be admitted to the 200 level.

8. General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE)

   You must have at least credit passes in six subjects. This should comprise three core subjects as well as three elective subjects. You must have subjects such as English Language, Mathematics and three relevant subjects.

9. International General Certificate of Secondary Education(IGCSE)

   You must have at least credit passes in five (5) GCE ‘O’ Level subjects. They must be subjects such as English and Mathematics. Additionally, you must have at least three (3) passes in relevant subjects at the Advanced Level.

10. International Baccalaureate (IB)

    You must have a minimum of grade 4 at the Higher Level in three (3) subjects that are relevant to this course. Additionally, you should have a minimum of grade 4 in English/Literature and Mathematics.

11. American High School Grade 12 Examinations

    Generally, you should have a Final Grade point of 3.0.
