  1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE)

    You must complete your secondary education before you can study computer science in Kenya. Therefore, you must have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or an equivalent certificate. Additionally, you need to have at least a grade of C+ in your results. Secondly, you need to have cluster subjects such as Mathematics, and Physics. Then, you need to have at least a grade B in English or Swahili.

  2. A-Level

    You must have a minimum of a pass in subjects such as Mathematics and Physics. Additionally, you must have a minimum credit pass in Physics in your O’level results.

  3. Diploma in Computer Studies

    You can use an ordinary diploma to apply to study computer science in Kenya. However, this certificate must be from a recognised university and it must be a minimum of pass at credit level. Additionally, you must have a minimum of C in your KCSE. Secondly, you must have a minimum of C in subjects such as Mathematics and Physics.

  4. Higher Diploma in Computer Studies

    You must have a minimum of pass at a credit level in your Higher Diploma Certificate. Additionally, you must have obtained a minimum of C in subjects such as Mathematics and Physics.

  5. Bachelor’s Degree

    If you have a bachelor’s degree, it must be in a related discipline to Computer Science. Additionally, you must have a minimum of second class.

  6. International Students

    If you are not a citizen of Kenya, your qualifications must be evaluated by the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KAQA). Additionally, you must have a valid study permit.
