Requirements for Studying Engineering in Kenya

1. Obtain a Secondary Education

   You must have obtained a certificate of your secondary education. Therefore, you must have a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or an equivalent certificate. Additionally, you need to have at least a grade of C+ in your results. Secondly, you must have at least a C+ in subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and geography.

2. A Level Candidates

   It would be best if you had a high grade in subjects such as Mathematics and Physics. You should also have a minimum pass in Chemistry. Additionally, you need to have at least a credit pass in English at the O level.

3. Diploma Candidates

   You should have a Higher National Diploma in a discipline that is relevant to engineering. Additionally, you should have a minimum of credits in your certificate.

4. BSc/BEd(Science) Degrees

   You should have a bachelor’s degree in Physics or Mathematics. However, you can use any other degree that is relevant to the field of engineering you wish to pursue. Additionally, these degrees must be from a recognised institution.
